
Dr Séamus Ó Ceallaigh is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Saint Patrick’s University Hospital. He trained in the assessment and management of ADHD at the Maudsley Hospital Adult ADHD clinic (the first clinic to offer a national service to the whole of the UK).
Dr Ó Ceallaigh is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, and commenced psychiatry training on the West of Ireland Scheme. He subsequently took up a research post at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. He completed training at the Maudsley Hospital London in General Adult Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry (Adult ADHD).
Dr Ó Ceallaigh provides a comprehensive initial assessment for adult ADHD at his rooms in Saint Patrick’s University Hospital. This assessment includes screening for other mental health conditions and a full review of medical and family history. The evaluation is done in-person and takes approximately two hours.
When an ADHD diagnosis is made, treatment can be started at the end of your initial assessment. Dr Ó Ceallaigh will match your plan to your needs and will provide ongoing ADHD treatment through his service. A comprehensive assessment and treatment report is sent to you and your GP. Follow-up reviews can be done by video call.
